Shane takes to the skies for Neonatal Care

Shane Reaney took on a skydive on 29 May to raise funds for Neonatal Care at Royal Stoke University Hospital.

His daughter was born more than eight weeks early and received specialist support from the Neonatal Unit. Wanting to thank the team who cared for her and supported his family during a difficult time, Shane decided to take on the challenge and give back.

He said: “The work and care the Neonatal Unit provided was exceptional. I am so grateful for the miracles they perform, so I wanted to give a little something back.”

Katy Edwards, NICU Matron, said: “Thank you, Shane. What a brave and crazy way to raise money for NICU.

“Every penny raised for NICU supports the neonatal journey of every baby and family admitted to the unit, from one day to more than 100 days. Your donation will make a real difference.

“Funds raised improve our family facilities and help provide spaces for parents and families to rest, reconnect and stay close to their babies. Thank you from the NICU team.”
