A seven-year-old girl has been raising money for UHNM Charity after wanting to give something back to the hospital that cared for her.
Georgia Roberts began selling football-themed sweets in her street and local community on 17 June, inspired by the care she received during her stay at the Children’s Hospital at Royal Stoke University Hospital.
After making a full recovery, Georgia decided she wanted to help other children receiving treatment by raising money for UHNM Charity.
Georgia said:
“They looked after me really well, so I wanted to do something to help.”
Every bag of sweets sold brings Georgia closer to her fundraising goal, with all the money raised helping UHNM Charity fund projects, equipment and enhancements that go above and beyond NHS provision for young patients and their families.
Georgia’s kindness shows that you’re never too young to make a difference. Everyone at UHNM Charity would like to thank Georgia for her fantastic fundraising efforts. Through her sweet sales, Georgia raised £21.20 for UHNM Charity.
