At just 29 years old, Kyle faced a devastating throat cancer diagnosis that resulted in the removal of his voice box and thyroid. The life-saving treatment left him unable to swallow, but hope came from the incredible surgeons working at UHNM. Using state-of-the-art equipment funded by UHNM Charity, they performed pioneering reconstructive surgery, giving Kyle not only a second chance at life but also the ability to swallow again. To say thank you and give back, Kyle is taking on an incredible challenge: a skydive with his sister to help ensure others can receive the same life-changing care.
