Members of a Newcastle-under-Lyme gym have come together for an incredible 24-hour fitness challenge, raising funds for UHNM Charity in memory of a much-loved friend and fellow gym member.

4FITT Gym, based on Water Street in Newcastle-under-Lyme, hosted its ’24 in 24′ challenge on 10 October, bringing members together to complete an impressive 24 fitness classes in just 24 hours.

The event was organised in memory of Liam, a dear friend and member of the gym community, with participants taking on the demanding challenge to celebrate his life while supporting a cause close to their hearts.

Throughout the day and night, gym members pushed themselves through a packed schedule of fitness sessions, showing determination, teamwork and community spirit as they worked towards completing the challenge.

The event brought the 4FITT community together, with members supporting and encouraging one another throughout the 24 hours.

By taking part, the gym hoped to honour Liam’s memory while raising funds to support patients, families and staff across University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust (UHNM).

The money raised will help UHNM Charity continue funding additional equipment, facilities and projects that improve the experience of patients receiving care at its hospitals.

UHNM Charity would like to thank everyone at 4FITT Gym who took part, organised or supported the challenge.

Their dedication is a fitting tribute to Liam and a reminder of the difference local communities can make when they come together for a shared cause.
