In honour of the late consultant hepatologist Alison Brind, who sadly passed away following a battle with pancreatic cancer, UHNM Charity is encouraging people to take part in the Trentham Park Run on May 11th to celebrate Dr. Brind's life and legacy while raising awareness and funds for UHNM Charity.
Dr. Brind, known for her unwavering commitment to patient care, touched the lives of many during her tenure at the UHNM NHS Trust. Her passing on April 7th left a profound void in the local community and among family and friends.
The parkrun, set to take place at Trentham Gardens, will be a testament to Dr. Brind's enduring impact and the indelible mark she left on colleagues, patients, and loved ones. Participants are invited to join in a spirit of remembrance as they walk, jog, or run in her memory.
"We are deeply saddened by the loss of Dr. Alison Brind, whose dedication and compassion touched the lives of countless individuals," said Steve Rushton, Head of UHNM Charity. "This parkrun event serves as a fitting tribute to her remarkable legacy and a testament to the strength of our community."
Join us on May 11th at 9:00am as we come together to celebrate the life and contributions of Dr. Alison Brind and to support a cause close to her heart.
