UHNM’s Bereavement team are raising funds for the Trust’s Elderly Care wards by taking part in a sponsored walk.
The team will trek the 5 miles around the Sandon Estate near Stafford on Saturday 24 July.
All funds raised will go towards improving the comfort and experience of UHNM’s more elderly patients.
Organiser Brogan Hambleton said: “We wanted to do our bit for our Older Adult colleagues and say thank you for their amazing hard work and dedication during Covid. We’ve previously held toiletry collections at Christmas for patients but wanted to do something extra for our doctors, nurses and support staff who we work closely with.”
The walk will take around 3 hours and to add some fun to the occasion, all members of the Bereavement team will complete it in fancy dress.
Brogan added: “The walk will be great fun for our team and will give us all a lift after what’s been a very challenging 18 months or so. Costumes range from Harley Quinn to Mrs Brown’s Boys and we’re hoping to complete the walk in time for a well-deserved pub lunch.”
Anybody who would like to make a donation can do so by visiting the UHNM Bereavement office or by donating online here.
