Breast Care Admin Team Raise Over £1,390 for New Breast Care Unit

Members of the Breast Care admin team at County Hospital came together in October 2025 to raise funds going towards the new Breast Care Unit at County, while also raising awareness of breast cancer and breast care.

Deb Evans, Becky Harris, Hannah Pattinson and colleagues led the effort. The team organised fundraising activities throughout the month. Staff, patients and visitors all got involved.

By the end of the campaign, the team raised a total of £1,394.56.

Mr Marla praised the team’s work. He said the Breast Team did an amazing job at the fundraising event. He added that there is real excitement and anticipation for the new Breast Unit, which is reflected in the fundraising. He hopes the money raised can be put to good use to improve patient experience.

Michelle Ellitts said, “The team raised a huge amount and it created such a buzz, for those who did the fund raising, the visitors on the day who bought tickets and the whole team.”
