Angela Nicholson will be rock ‘n rolling her way around Liverpool competing in the Rock ‘n Roll Running Series Marathon.
Angela (left) who’s from Winsford, is tackling the 26.2-mile course to thank the UHNM staff for caring for her Dad.
She said: “At the back end of 2019, we found out that Dad needed a major heart operation. It was to replace his aortic root and valve as it had dilated, which is risky to leave it as is.”
He had the operation, where staff at Royal Stoke operated on him for 10 hours (that is some shift for anyone!). The team treated both my Dad and Mum with the upmost care and respect before and after the operation as well as during his recovery period. He is now back to full health and we have Mr Warwick and the Cardiothoracic Team at UHNM to thank for that.”
“Due to Covid hitting, the marathon was cancelled twice, but now I want to complete this huge challenge and raise some money for UHNM Charity whilst doing so.”
